Instead of the typical gardening lessons, last Saturday in Pacheco, we decided to dedicate more time to reflect upon ourselves and our rol in society.
Every Thursday we hold general assemblies in Pacheco Community. This meeting gathers all coordinators who work in the different areas throughout the week. Our aims are essentially to share information about the different tasks being carried out in the community and the follow up of the activities in Pacheco in order to plan ahead accordingly.
When sunny days arrive, our students work on the flowerbeds. Tasks are varied and so it is an ideal time for idle chatting.
For the first time, since the beginning of our gardening workshops, we organized a 3 month workshop for adults on Pacheco.
Like every year, the most exciting moment for our gardening students is to try out the electric gardening tools.
Every May 25, we celebrate Argentina's May Revolution (Revolucion de Mayo) in a special way here in Pacheco Community.
The pruning of autumn is done so that in the spring, trees grow with more concentrated nutrients, stronger buds and can, among other things, withstand fungi or insects that can damage them.
Among the main objectives of our gardening course, we aim to empower young people, help them gain confidence and we make our best effort so they enjoy learning and community work.
The social organizations in the neighborhood of Pacheco assume diverse tasks. Education at all levels is one of our main concerns, so we arrange school support workshops for children and young people.
This week, a tortoise appeared in Pacheco Community. We found it rummaging around the lettuce and the Swiss chard.
