Talking to the Basil Plant

Written by
Basil is on the table. Basil is on the table. Voluntario Global

After having seen our plants grow from a seed, it is time to remove them from earth and now use them as fertilizer.

As we extract the leaves from the basil plants, we are invaded by their aroma and remember all the foods we enjoyed. The affection for our land and the valuation of its wealth grow with each plant in Pacheco Community Center.

With a table full of basil, tomatoes and peppers, we finish removing all plants that were planted during summer. The empty stonemasons are ready for a new cycle, whihch marks the beginning of the planting of seeds in small trays that will have to be taken care of delicately as they begin to grow.
