The First Tomatoes of the Season Are Ready

We sowed our tomato seeds back in the month of October and now, during the first week of January, we started to see how they changed colors.

From light green to intense red, the first tomatoes of the season were ready this week. In December, we also began to harvest basil, arugula, cucumbers and chard and we will have to wait a little longer for the corn crop. But tomatoes were the most desired by students in the workshop.

After the class, we celebrated with a snack! We baked homemade bread and ate some tomatoes under the shade of the greenhouse. Bread with tomato and fresh basil with some "mates" to spend a perfect afternoon in the garden.
